My Birthday Wish
June 14, 2025
To My Future Husband,
Today is my birthday.
And while others may wish for gifts, celebrations, or surprises, my heart simply longs for healing, happiness, and contentment. I just want to grow closer to God to serve Him with purpose, to help in the ministry with a joyful heart, and to live the life He designed for me.
But still, in the quiet moments of prayer today, I whispered your name to God again, yes, even without knowing it yet.
I prayed for a man with a heart that reflects Jesus. Someone emotionally intelligent, who will understand the weight I carry silently. A man who will accept all my flaws, my scars, my background, my struggles and love me still. I asked for someone God fearing, active in the church, a Seventh-day Adventist like me grounded in faith, not just in name.
I prayed for someone who will never cheat, never leave, never make me feel like I have to beg to be loved. A man who will lead with wisdom, plan for the future, and marry me not just because he can but because he chooses to, every single day.
If you’re reading this one day, I hope you know that I waited for you not perfectly, but prayerfully. And that even today, on my birthday, you were one of the quiet desires of my heart.
“Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.”
— Psalm 37:4
Until we meet,
Dea
